Having encouraged his fellow countrymen to "reclaim back their country" throughout the campaign, Olara Otunnu failed to turn up and vote for himself or any other candidate(s) of his choice.
The UPC presidential flag bearer was expected to vote at the Naguru polling station in Nakawa division where he is registered. Reports indicate that Otunnu kept on telling journalists that he was in a meeting and would show up later, but he never did.
